The Girls 1st Aggie Game

This past weekend we went to Dallas to see the Aggies play in the Cotton Bowl. I realized several things:
1. I REALLY don't like riding in the car.
2. My jersey barely fit. (Sarah had to tell me to pull it down several times before we could finally take the picture.)
3. The girls don't like me yelling. After the first series, I was "grounded" to my seat and had to stay quiet. Dusty claimed he was standing and yelling for me, but apparently, he wasn't loud enough.
and most importantly...
4. I should probably not go to anymore A&M bowl games as I am 0 for 3.
The guy sitting next to where we were taking the picture said "oh, how cute... a picture with the 3 of you." When I corrected him and told him 4, he almost fell out of his chair. I think at that point I realized I am about to have an instant full family.

Getting bigger and bigger

Here are the 21 week (black sweater) and 22 week (green shirt) pics. Oh the difference a week makes.
We also finally finished registering. Who would have thought it was that hard? We are registered at Target, Babies R Us and http://www.kidsarefanstoo.com/ Anyone looking for good collegiate gifts should check out http://www.kidsarefanstoo.com/ Their stuff is absolutely adorable!
Week 21 also brought us into 2011. As much as Deborah tried and tried, as always, our big plans for New Year's Eve turned into dinner and hanging out at our house. Last year there were about 25 of us and I would venture to guess 25 out of 25 were drunk. There were champagne bottles popping non-stop inside the house, wrestling on the washing machine, and climbing around in the new house across the street. This year... not so much. We went to dinner and then came back to the house. The boys began their night of drinking and after watching the ball drop in Times Square at 11pm, we decided to call it a night. Becky, my other preggo friend, and I went to lay down in the bedroom while the boys continued to drink and attempt to move baby furniture upstairs but only successfully managed to put a lot of holes in the walls. At midnight, they were "nice" enough to come and wake us up to tell us it was New Years and said they weren't done drinking and we could go back to sleep. Man we know how to pick them.

Let the fun begin!

The kicking officially started Friday night at dinner. Pretty excited although I am sure this means the sleepless nights are now beginning.

Half-way there

Finally a picture. I know it took awhile. Today I am 18 weeks. The half-way point although I am pretty sure at this point, I won't make it a full 9 months. I have been growing exponentially every day. I have gained 17 pounds which I am very proud of, not taking any medications for morning sickness and am super excited that one of my good friends is also pregnant. I am needing to go shopping because all the maternity clothes I have gotten are short-sleeve and I'm a wuss when it comes to cold weather. Surprise. Surprise.

At the office, there is a running list of potential baby names. Currently on the list are Mary Kate and Ashley, Brittany and Lindsey, Deborah and Hannah, and Barbara and Ann. Hmmm. so many good choices.

The other running joke at my expense is the goal to work baby mama into a sentence at least once a day. We get bonus points if it is during a staff meeting.

Kicking off Week 17

We finally picked out the furniture for the nursery and ordered it. Thanks to my mom and Dusty's mom for getting us each a crib. This two of everything is starting to add up real quick. We are still trying to decide on the bedding. Finding baby bedding in maroon is proving to be a little harder than we thought.
I haven't had to use the Zofran pump since early last week so the home health care people are coming to pick it up tomorrow. Apparently, you pay for each day you have it. Guess someone should have told me that a little sooner. Opps. I am just glad to be getting rid of it. I still take a Zofran pill every now and then but it is definitely less and less as the time goes by.

Four Months Down!

I can't believe I am already four months this week. I'd like to say they went by fast but the weeks I was sick seemed to drag by. Today is the first day I didn't take any type of nausea medicine. Hopefully, that is a sign of the months to come.

Dusty still giggles every time I pull up my shirt and he sees my belly. I am pretty sure it is growing exponentially. It is really cute and I think he is finally accepting the fact that he is going to have two little girls and lots of pink.

Finally done with first trimester

I am almost 14 weeks and so glad because most of the morning/all-day long sickness has ended. I am still on the Zofran pump but hope to be done with it by the end of the week. I went to Florida last week to see the shuttle launch but due to technical problems and then weather, it is now postponed to November 30. I felt pretty good most of the time in Florida with the exception of the airplane ride. On the way there I left the pump hooked to my leg which caused me to get the full-body pat down in the security line. On the way back, I took it off which caused me to get sick and have to run out of the security line. You just can't win sometimes.

Today I was doing a Pampered Chef party and met Gina who has 7 month old twin boys. They are absolutely adorable and I can't wait till our twins are here!
