Let the fun begin!

The kicking officially started Friday night at dinner. Pretty excited although I am sure this means the sleepless nights are now beginning.

Half-way there

Finally a picture. I know it took awhile. Today I am 18 weeks. The half-way point although I am pretty sure at this point, I won't make it a full 9 months. I have been growing exponentially every day. I have gained 17 pounds which I am very proud of, not taking any medications for morning sickness and am super excited that one of my good friends is also pregnant. I am needing to go shopping because all the maternity clothes I have gotten are short-sleeve and I'm a wuss when it comes to cold weather. Surprise. Surprise.

At the office, there is a running list of potential baby names. Currently on the list are Mary Kate and Ashley, Brittany and Lindsey, Deborah and Hannah, and Barbara and Ann. Hmmm. so many good choices.

The other running joke at my expense is the goal to work baby mama into a sentence at least once a day. We get bonus points if it is during a staff meeting.

Kicking off Week 17

We finally picked out the furniture for the nursery and ordered it. Thanks to my mom and Dusty's mom for getting us each a crib. This two of everything is starting to add up real quick. We are still trying to decide on the bedding. Finding baby bedding in maroon is proving to be a little harder than we thought.
I haven't had to use the Zofran pump since early last week so the home health care people are coming to pick it up tomorrow. Apparently, you pay for each day you have it. Guess someone should have told me that a little sooner. Opps. I am just glad to be getting rid of it. I still take a Zofran pill every now and then but it is definitely less and less as the time goes by.

Four Months Down!

I can't believe I am already four months this week. I'd like to say they went by fast but the weeks I was sick seemed to drag by. Today is the first day I didn't take any type of nausea medicine. Hopefully, that is a sign of the months to come.

Dusty still giggles every time I pull up my shirt and he sees my belly. I am pretty sure it is growing exponentially. It is really cute and I think he is finally accepting the fact that he is going to have two little girls and lots of pink.

Finally done with first trimester

I am almost 14 weeks and so glad because most of the morning/all-day long sickness has ended. I am still on the Zofran pump but hope to be done with it by the end of the week. I went to Florida last week to see the shuttle launch but due to technical problems and then weather, it is now postponed to November 30. I felt pretty good most of the time in Florida with the exception of the airplane ride. On the way there I left the pump hooked to my leg which caused me to get the full-body pat down in the security line. On the way back, I took it off which caused me to get sick and have to run out of the security line. You just can't win sometimes.

Today I was doing a Pampered Chef party and met Gina who has 7 month old twin boys. They are absolutely adorable and I can't wait till our twins are here!

The Big News

Guess the cat is out of the bag. Dusty and I are having twins! We are really excited and can't wait. I am almost 12 weeks and have been sick almost half of those weeks. I am hoping this is just "normal" morning sickness and not what Jennifer had with Jack and Trevor.

September 17: The day before my birthday, Dusty and I got an amazing birthday present. We already knew we were pregnant and excited for our first ultrasound at 6 weeks. As the tech started, she immediately asked "What kind of car do you drive?" I think Dusty almost passed out. That is when we found out we are having twins.

October 8: We decided to tell the family all at one time. We invited Jeremy and Sarah over the weekend before. Then Dusty wanted to show everyone a picture of two car seats in the back of our new car. (Yes, we had to get rid of the Z) so Jennifer came over one day and we took the picture. On Thursday, I had lunch with my mom, Paulette, Jeff, Ashley, Warren and Jennifer. I showed them the ultrasound and they all thought Jennifer was pregnant again. The next day we headed out to the lake house and I was sick almost the entire car ride. We told his mom's side at dinner and then invited his dad's side to the lake house on Saturday to tell them. Everyone was so excited.
